Mission Statement: Through the planting of flowers, vegetables and herbs, Butterflies & Bees
brings beauty, harmony and better health to individuals, their families, friends, and neighbors.
By adding beauty through flowers we infuse a love of gardening that becomes respect for Nature
and Mother Earth. By teaching new generations about growing and caring for plants, they will be
excited about and gain respect for nature.

Michelle Gomez: Owner & Designer
Michelle has taken classes in drawing,
pastels, pen and ink, charcoal, ceramics
and photography, Her eye for color,
shape, flow, and harmony bring a unique
dimension to her designs. Whether she
is shopping at a local nursery or on her
hands and knees planting, Michelle's love
of gardening is evident in her
enthusiasm. In her spare time, she
hangs out with her kids, tends her own
garden, hikes local trails, or just curls up
with a good mystery book.
She brings over 10 years personal
gardening experience to the business as
well as a Bachelor's Degree in Business
Management.

Anne Marie Gomez: Owner & Designer
Anne Marie literally grew up in a nursery. Her
parents were wholesales nursery growers in
the San Gabriel Valley, located in Temple City.
She played daily in and around the
greenhouses, seed beds, rows of flats, and the
potting shed. Later she worked alongside her
parents for six years in their nursery planting
seeds, transplanting seedlings, watering, and
tending the young plants. She lives by her
father's belief that everyday Mother Nature has
something new and wonderful to show us,
whether it is a new leaf on a tree, the first
tender leaves sprouting from a seed, or a
newly opened flower. In her spare time she
writes short stories (four of which have been
published), works on her novel, spends time
with her grandchildren, reads, and works in her
own garden.

organizational and office management skills.

Who are we?
We are the mother – daughter owners of Butterflies & Bees. Unofficially we have
been designing and planting gardens for friends and family for over ten years.
Officially we are in our third year of business. We decided the time had arrived to do
what we love full time.

What sets us apart from other gardening services?
We meet personally with each client. Each design is unique keeping in mind your personal
preferences, the location of your garden (is it shade, sun, or partly sunny?), your soil type, where
you live, and architectural style. We shop for your plants at multiple nurseries to guarantee the
best quality and variety, plus our personal experience of what will grow best in your location. We
like to add the unexpected… a bird bath, a wind chime, a whimsical creature hiding beneath a
plant or maybe yard art. Let our before and after pictures speak for us.
